Launch your collection
Each step says what it refuses before you press Next, on every network, so nothing waits to surprise you at the review.
If an agent prepared your launch through the MCP, open the one link it gives you. You see everything filled in, press one button to upload the art, and land on Review to sign with your own wallet. The steps before it are answered and one Back away, each choice marked Set by your agent. Change any of them and the mark goes. Nothing publishes or signs until you press the button that does it. See Launch with your agent.
This page walks through launching: the seven steps, the review and its signatures, and what you can change afterwards.
Launch takes the collection you made, from your layers or from your finished art, and puts it on Base or on Solana, with its own Vault. You pick the network first, then follow the same steps on either one: only the wallet and the coins you can pick differ. You check everything on one review screen, then sign.
The seven steps
Section titled “The seven steps”- Network. Pick Base or Solana. Under the tiles is that network’s wallet: log in, or check the wallet that will sign. This wallet owns your collection.
- Collection. The name and size come from your collection. On Base you set the ticker (a short code of capital letters that marketplaces show beside the name); Solana stores no ticker, so the step has none. The royalty on resales is 5% on every collection, shown here and fixed. On Base you also choose the wallet the money goes to; leave it empty and it is the wallet you logged in with. On Solana the money goes to the wallet that signs.
- How they get one. Pick a sale method from the ones the network offers: a fixed price, a mystery mint or a rising price, and the auctions where the network has them. See Sale methods, phases and allowlists.
- The price. Set what a piece costs (on a rising price, a first price and a last price), the limits, any allowlist and when each phase opens. Under the phases, Your share of each mint sets how much of every mint you keep after KURV’s 5%, from 0 to 100%; it starts at 100%, and the Vault gets the rest. There is no minimum backing to set on any network. Below it, Bought in picks the coin the collection is priced in. On Base the rows are USDC and Another coin on Base, which asks for the coin’s address; on Solana they are SOL, USDC and Another coin on Solana. KURV has to have priced its fee in a coin before a collection can launch in it, and the step says so when it has not.
- Files. Every launch uses the files you published on KURV, so publish your art first: there are no links to paste. Choose to reveal at launch or run a mystery mint with an image before the reveal.
- Review. Read your whole collection back on one screen, then press Sign and launch. Here you can also set up your page: banner, logo, colours and background. All optional, and you can change them later.
- Live. Your collection is out. Open its mint page.
Every collection launches on Base or on Solana, and each one is its own collection on that chain, with its own Vault.
Each collection is priced in one coin its creator picks at launch: USDC by default, or any other coin on Base. Every price on that collection is in that coin. On Solana the default is SOL, with USDC beside it. Collectors trade pieces with each other on KURV’s market in the collection’s own coin. A collection priced in another coin mints and sells back to its Vault in that coin. The coin you pick in Bought in stays for the life of the collection. KURV checks that the coin exists, that KURV has priced its fee in it and, where the network will run the check, that it delivers a whole transfer; when it cannot, the price step says so and the choice is yours. A coin with no buyers is a collection with no buyers, so pick one your collectors hold.
The review and its one signature
Section titled “The review and its one signature”The review screen reads your launch back to you before you sign:
- What you are creating. The name, the ticker where the network has one, the number of pieces, the network, and the collection’s Vault.
- Who owns it. The wallet that signs. Only that wallet can pause, reveal or freeze it from Your collections.
- Where the money goes. The coin collectors pay in, KURV’s 5% of every paid mint and its service fee on a free one, the share you keep and the wallet it goes to, and what goes into the Vault.
- Royalty on resales. 5% on every collection, fixed for life, and how it splits.
- The sale. Each phase, with its price, when it opens, its limit per wallet and its allowlist. A free phase says what collectors pay KURV a piece.
- The art. Linked, so collectors see their piece the moment they mint, or sealed, for a mystery mint. It also says when a fingerprint is locked in.
Under the rows, two lists: You can change this later and This is permanent. After launch has both.
On Base, the signature list on the same screen has one step: Create the collection. The whole collection goes into that one signature: the sale, the art or its seal, the fingerprint, the royalty and your share, and the collection details on a collection that reveals at launch. Nothing is left to set up afterwards, so a launch is either complete or not there at all. Your wallet pays the network fee in USDC as part of the same operation, and the review shows about how much before you sign. On Solana, the list has the launch first and then one signature for each later sale window; the review shows the network fee and the rent in SOL before you sign.
If the page closes after your collection is created, open the launch again. The review says your collection is already created and offers Finish the launch, which files it under Your collections and creates nothing a second time.
After launch
Section titled “After launch”| You can change later, from Your collections | Permanent |
|---|---|
| Pause and restart the mint. Selling back to the Vault is never paused. | The contract and its address. It cannot be moved or deleted. |
| Freeze the art, on a collection that reveals at launch | The size. You can never add more pieces. |
| Reveal the art, once, on a mystery mint. The same signature freezes it. | The coin it is bought in |
| Withdraw a payment that is waiting | Your mint share and your royalty |
| KURV’s 5% on every paid mint, and its service fee on every free one | |
| The Vault: money leaves it only on a sell-back, which pays the seller and the royalty’s creator and KURV shares. Nobody can withdraw it. | |
| The fingerprint, from the first mint on | |
| On a mystery mint, the sealed art, from the first mint on: the reveal can show that art and nothing else | |
| The art, once frozen |
Reveal and Freeze both need art on the collection. The art goes in with the launch signature, and Your collections has no way to add it later.
Prices, limits, allowlists and opening times are set here, in the launch steps, and your dashboard keeps them as launched. Plan your phases before you confirm.
What you do with the art next depends on how it launched:
- Revealed at launch. Collectors see each piece the moment it is minted, and the mint page says Art can still change until you freeze. Check every piece on your mint page. When you are sure, press Freeze. Freezing is final.
- Mystery mint. Check every piece before you launch. When you press Reveal, one signature publishes the art you sealed and freezes it for good, so there is no step in between.
Freeze fixes the art and its labels. The collection details (the name, description and cover marketplaces show) are not part of the art, and the contract still lets the owner change them. See Reveal, pause, freeze and your dashboard.
The collection’s Vault
Section titled “The collection’s Vault”Every collection launched on KURV has a Vault, and it can hold $0. Collections brought over from another launchpad have none and trade here at their own royalty, up to 10%. You decide how much of each mint goes into it, from nothing at all, and a Vault that opens at $0 is normal. No collection launches with a minimum backing per piece.
The Vault is the pool of your collection’s coin that buys pieces back from holders. You keep 0% to 100% of what remains after KURV’s 5% fee on each paid mint; the Vault receives the rest.
The Vault gets whatever mint money the creator leaves in it, plus 25% of every royalty paid in the collection’s own coin: every sale on KURV’s market, and royalties on other marketplaces paid in that coin once someone routes them. A royalty paid in any other coin sends the Vault’s quarter to the creator. It also gets every mint top-up and what its own resales bring after the creator’s and KURV’s royalty shares, and on every sell-back it keeps 10% of the backing and its 25% of the royalty. The Vault’s share of a trade counts towards Vault Backing and the Vault Exit once it is booked, at the next mint or Vault sale. Keep the whole mint, or launch a free collection, and the Vault opens at $0. That is a normal collection, ready from its first day.
Fees at launch
Section titled “Fees at launch”| Setting | Rule | Can change after launch? |
|---|---|---|
| KURV fee on a paid mint | 5% of the price | No |
| Free mints | $0.25 for each piece minted, charged in the collection’s coin, instead of the 5% | No |
| Your mint share | 0% to 100% of what remains after KURV’s 5% | No |
| Your royalty | 5% on every collection, free mints included | No |
| KURV launch charge | None | No |
- Your royalty is one fee of 5% on each resale. Paid in your collection’s coin, as every sale on KURV’s market is, it splits 50% to you, 25% to the Vault and 25% to KURV. A royalty paid in any other coin goes 75% to you and 25% to KURV.
- Buyers see your share and your royalty before they buy.
- Network costs are separate from every KURV fee.
How creators earn works both numbers through on a $100 mint. See Fees for the full schedule, and read Risks and disclaimer before you launch.
