Fees

This page lists every charge KURV makes, and shows each one worked through on $100. Check the route you are about to use before you sign.

Each route charges only its own fees; they never stack. Each collection is priced in one coin its creator picks at launch: USDC by default, or any other coin on Base. Every price on that collection is in that coin. The examples use a USDC collection, where $1 is one unit of the coin. Network costs are separate and are never part of any percentage; see Gas and network fees. Read Risks and disclaimer first.

Paid mint: 5% to KURV, and the creator and the Vault split the rest. Trading: one royalty of 5%, the same on every KURV collection: half to the creator, a quarter to the Vault and a quarter to KURV. Sell-back: the Vault keeps 10% of the backing, plus that royalty. Vault resale: that royalty, and the rest stays in the Vault. Free mint: $0.25 a piece, charged in the collection’s coin.

The royalty is the one trading fee: the creator’s half, the Vault’s quarter and KURV’s quarter all come out of it, and KURV adds no marketplace fee of its own. It is 5% on every KURV collection, free ones included, and it never changes.

When a royalty does not split evenly in the coin’s smallest unit, the leftover goes to the Vault.

On another marketplace, a royalty paid through the collection’s contract goes to the collection’s royalty router. Anyone can route it by calling route on the collection’s royalty router. KURV does not do this for you and has no button for it, so until someone does, that royalty stays in the router. Once routed, it splits as above. A royalty paid in any other coin goes 75% to the creator and 25% to KURV, with nothing to the Vault. The Vault’s share of a trade counts towards Vault Backing and the Vault Exit once it is booked, at the next mint or Vault sale.

Every collection launched on KURV has a Vault, and it can hold $0. Collections brought over from another launchpad have none and trade here at their own royalty, up to 10%. A collection asking more can be brought over but not traded here. That royalty is paid in full to the wallet their own contract names, and KURV takes nothing on the trade. See Bring a collection.

The creator decides how much of each mint goes into the Vault, from nothing at all, and a Vault that opens at $0 is normal. How creators earn shows the choice on a $100 mint.

Collectors trade pieces with each other on KURV’s market in the collection’s own coin. A collection brought over from another launchpad trades in USDC on Base and in SOL on Solana.

The free-mint fee is the same 25 cents in every coin: in another coin it is $0.25 at that coin’s price, set by KURV. Dollar references beside a SOL, WETH or KETH amount come from Coinbase’s public price and refresh every minute; you pay in the coin shown.

Nothing stacks. A $1 paid mint pays $0.05, not $0.25. Four free pieces pay $1.00 in total. An accepted offer pays the trading royalty once, when it settles.

A phase launches with the price you set, fixed or rising, and Your collections has no control to change it. KURV’s 5% and the creator’s share are taken on each piece’s price, and a Vault top-up, when there is one, is added on top. On a rising price, each piece costs a little more than the one before. The mint page always shows what the next piece costs.

KURV takes $5 first, leaving $95. The creator’s share is taken from that $95.

Creator shareCreatorVaultKURV
0%$0.00$95.00$5.00
25%$23.75$71.25$5.00
50%$47.50$47.50$5.00
100%$95.00$0.00$5.00

The creator’s share is a share of $95, not of $100. At 100% the creator receives $95.00 and the Vault opens at $0, to be filled by its share of royalties once they are booked. This is how one payment is divided. The Vault Backing a piece ends up carrying depends on how many pieces share the Vault.

Every paid piece brings the Vault at least the Vault Backing per piece, so a new piece keeps the backing behind the pieces already out where it was. When the part of a phase’s price that reaches the Vault is less than that, the mint adds the difference on top of the phase price. That top-up goes straight into the Vault. KURV’s 5% and the creator’s share are taken on the phase price only.

A phase priced at $10, a creator share of 50%, and a Vault holding $8 of Vault Backing per piece:

The mint page shows the top-up before you pay. A free piece carries no Vault Backing, so it has no top-up.

The royalty comes out of what the seller receives. The buyer pays the listed price, plus network costs, and nothing else.

The Vault resells a piece only when what it keeps covers the backing that piece needs once it is back in circulation. The Vault asks the piece’s Vault Backing plus 20%, $120 for $100 of backing, which at the 5% royalty always covers the backing it needs. At the 5% royalty, $120 keeps $115.50 after the creator’s $3 and KURV’s $1.50.

  • Making a collection. Launching is free.
  • Publishing your files. Publishing is free.
  • Listing a piece and making an offer: no KURV fee. Cancelling a listing or an offer, and the one-time approval before a first listing or offer, cost a network fee. To change a price, take the listing down and list again.
  • Batches: you pay each piece’s own fee, and grouping them adds nothing.
  • Gifts and plain transfers: moving a piece carries no fee and no royalty.
  • Claiming fees you have already earned.
  • A transaction that fails. No KURV fee survives it, though the network fee is still spent.

The creator sets the royalty and their mint share when the collection is made, and both stay fixed for the life of the collection.

These figures are the same for every wallet, whatever else it holds.
