Log in and your wallet
This page covers getting into KURV and what your wallet holds once you are in.
Log in with an account you already have. KURV makes a wallet for you the first time: your account on the Base network, which holds your coins and your pieces. Coinbase runs the login and keeps the wallet’s key safe. There is nothing to install and no seed phrase (the list of recovery words other wallets make you write down).
Section titled “Log in”- Tap Log in at the top of the page.
- Pick how to log in. There are six ways in, in this order: Google, the highlighted row at the top, then Apple, email, Base, X and Telegram.
- Finish logging in with that account.
Your wallet is made the first time you log in. You may see “Setting up your wallet” for a few seconds. If it does not come through, tap Try again, or log out and log back in.
When you come back, log in the same way you did the first time. The same login opens the same wallet.
On phone and desktop
Section titled “On phone and desktop”KURV’s own login works on phone and desktop, with nothing to install.
Your wallet is yours
Section titled “Your wallet is yours”- Only you can move what is in your wallet. Neither KURV nor Coinbase can.
- You can take your pieces and coins with you at any time: send them to another wallet (see below), or take the key where there is one.
- This is the wallet your pieces are minted to, and the wallet that owns the collections you launch.
Your address stays the same
Section titled “Your address stays the same”Your wallet has one address: the long code starting with 0x that identifies it on the network. If the wallet is upgraded so it can do a whole action in one signature, the upgrade happens in place, using a network standard called EIP-7702. Your address, your balance and your pieces stay exactly where they are.
What you see in the wallet
Section titled “What you see in the wallet”Open the account menu and tap Wallet. The sheet shows:
- Your full wallet address, with a button to copy it.
- A link to Your profile.
- Your balances, read from the chain each time you open the sheet.
- Add cash (a card or Apple Pay through Coinbase), where Coinbase offers it. The coins land in this wallet. You can also send funds to the address above from any wallet or exchange.
- Export wallet, Move to another wallet and Log out.
Your wallet needs no ETH, the coin the network itself charges in. The network fee for each action comes out of your USDC in the same step; see Gas and network fees.
Export your key
Section titled “Export your key”Tap Export wallet. Coinbase runs the export, logged in as you, in its own window, so the key never passes through KURV.
A key opens the same address in another wallet app: your pieces and coins stay where they are. To have them at a different address, use Move to another wallet.
Some wallets are smart accounts: a contract that another account signs for. When Coinbase holds no key for that signing account, the sheet says There is no key to take from this wallet and points you to Move to another wallet, which works for every wallet.
Move everything to another wallet
Section titled “Move everything to another wallet”Move to another wallet sends every piece and every coin in this wallet that KURV can see to an address you give: your pieces from collections on KURV, your USDC, and any other coin a KURV collection is priced in.
- Tap Move to another wallet.
- Paste the address of the wallet you want everything in.
- Read the address back in full, and agree.
- Watch each piece and each coin go, one row at a time.
A little USDC stays behind to pay the network fee for the sends; the sheet says how much once it is done. Each piece and each coin is sent on its own, so if one collection refuses a transfer, that row says why and the rest still go.
A send is final. Check the address twice.
The account menu
Section titled “The account menu”Once you are logged in, tap your picture at the top of the page:
