Publish your files

Publishing puts your collection online so the mint page and marketplaces can show it. Do it once, after you generate and before you launch. Publishing costs nothing to KURV. Network costs stay separate; see Gas and network fees.

You need no storage account and no key. KURV handles that.

  1. KURV draws every piece at full size.
  2. The images go up to IPFS first. Then each piece’s labels file goes up: its name, its traits and a pointer to its image.
  3. KURV records the fingerprint of the whole build. You commit that fingerprint on chain when you launch.
  4. When it is done, the app takes you to Launch.

IPFS is a public file network anyone can fetch from. A file stays available there only while someone keeps it pinned. KURV pins your files through its own Pinata account.

A big collection takes a while. The card shows how far it has got.

If you close the tab or lose your connection, you can pick up where you left off. Open Generate again in the same browser, with the same build. The card says your progress is saved. Press Resume publishing.

Do not generate again with a new seed. That makes a different collection, and the saved progress will not carry over.

Each piece is two files: the image and its labels file. The collection adds one more file for its name, description, royalty and cover.

So N pieces is 2N + 1 files. A 512 × 512 PNG is about 125 KB. The labels files are small enough to leave out of the total.

Larger images make bigger files.

One wallet can publish at most 1,000 pieces in any 24 hours. The count covers the whole collection, so a collection of more than 1,000 pieces cannot be published in one day.

If a collection will not fit in what your wallet has left today, the card tells you before you start, and the Publish button stays off.

Once a publish has started uploading, its pieces are held for it, so it can finish even if you resume later.

KURV plans a Forever option: your collection mirrored to Arweave, a network designed so you pay once and files are kept for good. See What’s live right now for whether it’s built yet.

Today your files live on IPFS, pinned through KURV.
