How creators earn

You pick two numbers when you set up a collection. Together they decide what you earn:

  1. Your mint share. Pick 0–50% of what is left after KURV’s 5% fee. The rest goes to your collection’s vault as backing.
  2. Your royalty. Pick 5–10%. It can’t be zero, even for a free mint.

A bigger mint share means less backing goes into the vault from each sale. The vault floor is the backing each piece carries. It is not a market price, and it can change. Read Fees and Risks and disclaimer before you choose. For what testnet pays creators today, which is not this schedule, see What’s live right now.

KURV takes 5% of the price. You get your chosen share of the other 95%. The rest goes to vault backing.

On a $100 mintYou getVault backingKURV gets
0% share$0.00$95.00$5.00
25% share$23.75$71.25$5.00
50% share$47.50$47.50$5.00

The most you can take is 50% of $95, not 50% of $100. Collectors see your share before they buy.

Your royalty is one fee on each sale made through KURV:

  • Trades. One collector sells to another.
  • Sell-backs. A collector sells a piece back to the vault.
  • Vault resales. The vault sells a returned piece again.

You get half of the royalty. The vault gets a quarter. KURV gets a quarter. Gifts and plain transfers pay no royalty.

The royalty is worked out on the sale price.

On a $100 saleYou getVault getsKURV gets
5% royalty$2.50$1.25$1.25
10% royalty$5.00$2.50$2.50

The royalty is worked out on the piece’s full backing, before anything is taken off. The seller also gives up 10% of that backing. That 10% stays in the vault. None of it goes to you.

5% royalty$85.00$2.50$1.25$11.25
10% royalty$80.00$5.00$2.50$12.50
  • The free mint fee. The $0.25 service fee per piece goes to KURV. The collector pays it, or you can pay it for them. You get nothing from it. When a free piece sells later, your royalty applies as usual.
  • Backing contributions. Extra backing anyone adds goes to the vault in full.
  • Backing kept in the vault. It stays as backing. It never becomes your revenue.

KURV charges no second fee when you claim fees you have already earned. Network costs are separate.
