FAQ

Short answers first. Each one links to the page with the full story. For what’s actually running on testnet today, see What’s live right now.

Yes. You build a collection from layers, and you choose how much of it is random. You can pin ten hand-made pieces in a thousand, or pin every piece in a small set.

You cannot upload finished images made somewhere else. You also cannot launch editions, single pieces or music. KURV launches generated collections only.

Read Rules and pinned pieces.

No. Drop in your layer folders, or a ZIP on a phone, and get a collection back. There is no file to edit and no key to set up.

Sign in with Google, Apple or email. A wallet is made for you when you sign in. Nothing to install.

Start with Getting started.

In short:

  • Paid mint: 5% of the price goes to KURV. The creator picks 0–50% of the rest. The remainder goes to the collection’s backing.
  • Free mint: $0.25 per piece to KURV.
  • Resale between collectors: one royalty of 5–10%, set by the creator.
  • Selling back to the vault: a 10% haircut plus the royalty.
  • Network costs: separate from all of these.

See Fees for the full schedule and worked examples. Read Risks and disclaimer before you launch or mint.

Your contract lets you point the collection at new files until you press Freeze. The app has no button for changing files yet. Freeze locks the art for good.

A mystery mint is different. It can only reveal the art it sealed at launch.

Read After launch.

No. The floor is the vault floor: the backing each piece carries. It is not a market price. It can change, and a free collection can start with no backing at all.

When you sell a piece back to the vault, two deductions come out of that backing: a 10% haircut and the collection royalty. Both are worked out on the full backing. For a piece with $100 of backing:

Collection royaltyYou receiveCreatorKURVStays in the vault
5%$85.00$2.50$1.25$11.25
10%$80.00$5.00$2.50$12.50

Only pieces from that vault’s own collection can be sold back to it.

Read Fees and Risks and disclaimer.

No. When you sell a piece back, the vault holds it as inventory and resells it later.

No. No token has launched. There is no ticker and no official address. Treat any token that uses the KURV name as not ours.

You do not need any token to use KURV.

Base, always. There is no network picker. The testnet runs on Base Sepolia, Base’s test network.

Read Base and stablecoins.

Partly:

  • On chain: the contract and who owns each piece.
  • On IPFS: the images and labels, pinned through KURV’s Pinata account.

Freeze makes the link to your files permanent. It does not make the files permanent. KURV also plans a Forever storage option that copies your files to Arweave; see What’s live right now for where that stands.

Read Publish your files.
