Risks and disclaimer
Read this before you mint, buy, sell back or launch. It is short.
Before you sign
Section titled “Before you sign”- Check the amount KURV shows you.
- Check the most you will pay, or the least you will get back.
- If a number looks wrong, don’t sign.
Not financial advice
Section titled “Not financial advice”Nothing on KURV is financial advice. KURV does not promise a price, a return, or that you can resell a piece.
The floor is not a market price
Section titled “The floor is not a market price”“Floor” on KURV always means the vault floor: the backing each piece carries in its collection’s vault. It is not what someone will pay for the piece. It can be low, and it can be zero.
- A sell-back pays that backing minus a 10% haircut and the collection’s royalty (5% to 10%).
- Both come off the full backing, not one after the other.
- A free collection can start with zero backing. Then a sell-back pays nothing.
| Royalty | You get, per $100 of backing |
|---|---|
| 5% | $85.00 |
| 10% | $80.00 |
See Fees for the full split, and What’s live right now for what testnet’s older test vaults pay today, which is not this.
Quotes can change
Section titled “Quotes can change”A price or sell-back quote can change before your transaction runs, for example if someone else trades first. You get a limit: the most you will pay, or the least you will accept. If the result falls outside it, the transaction fails and nothing moves. You still pay the network fee.
Smart contracts can have bugs
Section titled “Smart contracts can have bugs”Contracts can have bugs, and a bug can lose money. No KURV contract has a published audit report. KURV will not call a contract audited until one is published.
USDC can be frozen
Section titled “USDC can be frozen”KURV uses USDC, issued by Circle. Circle can block an address or pause USDC. If that hits a collection’s vault, payouts from it can be stuck, possibly for good. If it hits your address, you may not receive a payout. Nobody at KURV can move a vault’s backing, so KURV cannot get the money out for you.
Royalties outside KURV
Section titled “Royalties outside KURV”Each collection’s royalty is written into its contract. Other marketplaces may not pay it. KURV cannot make them.
Your files
Section titled “Your files”Images and metadata live on IPFS, pinned through a pinning provider. Freezing a collection makes the pointer to the files permanent. It does not make the files themselves permanent. See Publish your files.
Testnet has no value
Section titled “Testnet has no value”testnet.kurv.fun runs on Base Sepolia. Its ETH and USDC are test coins with no value. Nothing you do there costs or earns real money.
The token
Section titled “The token”The KURV token is not launched. There is no official ticker, address or buy link. Ignore anyone who offers one.
- The token is separate from NFTs, vaults and backing.
- Owning it gives no NFT and no claim on any vault.
- Token income is never collection backing.
- No price or return is promised.
Still to come
Section titled “Still to come”This wording is a draft. Legal review of token and beta copy is still to come. This page will change.
